Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born 20th of August 1974 Aviano Italy) American actress, especially noted for her critically acclaimed portrayals of naive and charming characters. Adams was born to a U.S. Army officer in Italy and then grew up in Castle Rock Colorado. In the late 1990s, she started performing professionally and dancing at Boulder's Dinner Theatre and Country Dinner Playhouse. Then in Minnesota and at a local theatre, she was a selected to play a role in the mock documentary about beauty pageants titled Drop Dead Gorgeous. Following her successful screen debut with the role of an unfriendly, but obnoxious contestant, Janet moved into Los Angeles where she began professional acting. She's the mother of Kelly Curtis (and Jamie Lee Curtis) and Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh, who was introduced to her via the actress Norma Shearer Leigh signed a contract with MGM to start her film career actress in the mid 40s. The decade following she was in a variety of famous films, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) as well as Living It Up by Martin and Lewis (a 1954 film).
